The Bavarian International School (BIS) is a non-profit educational institution with two campuses (Haimhausen and Munich-Schwabing). Approx. 1,150 young people between the ages of 3 and 18 from more than 60 nations attend the private all-day school. Personalised education, innovative and holistic learning as well as an international mindset characterise the educational philosophy under the motto "Believe. Inspire. Succeed". BIS is the only international school in Germany to offer all four International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes. In 2021, graduating BIS students scored an average IB Diploma (DP) grade of 37, (global average was 33) which illustrates the strong tradition of academic excellence at BIS. With 30 years of experience (1991 - 2021), BIS, an IB World School, is shaping the future of education, fostering growth and unleashing potential for students living in the Munich area.
